Pokémon lands on Cardze, plus 2 new football packs
Published on
Big news for collectors: Pokémon has landed on Cardze. Until now, the platform was all about football cards. Now you can rip Pokémon packs too, the same way you already know: open a pack online, pull a real card.
That's not all. On the football side, the lineup gets a serious upgrade with two new packs at the very top: Diamond at $500 and Emerald at $1,000. Here's what's changing, what we know so far and the smartest way to get started.
What's new on Cardze
Two updates drop at once. First, a whole new card category: Pokémon joins football. Second, the football lineup goes from four tiers to six. The packs you already know stay put: Silver ($25), Gold ($50), Purple ($100) and Ruby ($250). Diamond and Emerald simply sit on top.
What doesn't change is how it works. You open your pack online, the card you pull is a real physical card, and it goes straight into your vault, in your name. Keep it, get it shipped or sell it back to Cardze. And before every rip, the pack page shows the odds and the value range, so you always know what you're getting into.
Cardze Pokémon packs: Silver and Gold
Pokémon arrives with two packs: a Silver Pokémon pack and a Gold Pokémon pack. You can't miss them, with their Poké Ball design and the Cardze logo.
Prices, value ranges, odds: we'd rather not guess until it's confirmed. All of that is shown on each pack page on Cardze, before you open anything. That's where to look when you're deciding between Silver and Gold.
Whether you've been collecting since the base set days or you're coming back to Pokémon after a long break, it's an easy way to chase cards without hunting through stores: you rip, you see your card, it's yours.
New Cardze packs: Diamond and Emerald, the football high end
For football, Cardze adds two packs at the top of the range. Diamond costs $500 and Emerald costs $1,000. They're now the two highest packs on the platform, above Ruby at $250.
Same logic as the rest of the lineup: the higher the pack, the bigger the cards in play. The value ranges and odds for Diamond and Emerald are listed on the pack page before you open. Take a minute to read them before you go in, especially at this price point.
How to rip your first Cardze pack

- 2 Pick your side: a football pack (Silver up to Emerald) or a Pokémon pack (Silver or Gold).
- 3 Open the pack page and read the odds and value range shown there.
- 4 Rip the pack online and reveal your card.
- 5 Find your card in your vault, in your name: keep it, ship it or sell it back.
Our tip: if you're new to Cardze, start small. A Silver pack, football or Pokémon, is plenty to get a feel for it before you aim higher. And keep an eye out for the free packs that drop regularly.
